What is sous vide machine

Even though it is much more publicized and known nowadays, many people still do not know what a sous vide machine (thermocirculator) is.

A sous vide machine has a very simple concept and its functionality has a lot to do with its name, since it is an equipment that basically controls the temperature (thermo) and also makes the water circulate (circulator).

This equipment is used in several laboratory processes, but since the end of the last century its main use is for the sous vide process (we explain about this process here), where it is necessary to precisely control the water temperature in order to cook the food.

There are two types of thermocirculators: the portable and the vat circulators

The portable ones, as the name implies, are easier to transport. They are small pieces of equipment that are attached to pans or other containers, and the cost of this equipment is more accessible. Some limitations, such as high energy consumption and non-homogenization of temperature, make them more suitable for residential or semi-professional use.

The tank thermocirculators (check out our patented line here), on the other hand, are more for professional use. They are equipment for professional use.

Using the sous vide machines

The thermocirculators (sous vide machines) are very simple and intuitive to use. In general, you will only have to set the temperature for the cooking process.
